Bedrooms must also have an egress window for easy escape in the event of a fire. Two egress doors, installed at opposite ends of your home, are recommended. I'm not trying to challenge you on this or argue that safety and a home fire escape plan shouldn't be considered, just unable to find anything that clearly states that it is illegal to install a double cylinder deadbolt on a front door in a residential space (I'm unclear as to whether or not OP lives in a single-family dwelling or multi-unit dwelling,) vs. 'This is dangerous and illegal at least in the USA.'
